Even if the route bar cant be displayed, the lack of information about upcoming delays is a major problem. Most important is the lack of route bar information. This is a major weakness at the moment and needs urgently addressing - whilst apple may apply some restrictions, alternatives such as waze have CarPlay features that TomTom lacks. If i compare routes etc to my physical device, this shows traffic issues further down the route that the iOS version doesn’t - i presume it will pick these up as i get closer. Areas for improvement: * the route planning doesn’t seem to search as far along the route as physical devices. Good points: the same easy to use TomTom route planning and turn by turn instructions. As I now have an Apple CarPlay enables vehicle I have moved over to the iOS version instead. I will confess to be being a long term fan of TomTom and have used a physical device for many years.

Can only be fixed by force closing the app on the phone which requires the driver to pull over so the phone can be legally used - not always possible to quickly find somewhere to do this. UPDATE: v2.6.1 the app is now freezing whilst being used with CarPlay - the screen freezes and no directions given. Please turn off mobile data & Wi-Fi /Restart the app/ Turn ON the mobile data and check if that helps. It used to be almost perfect but has obviously been corrupted in some way. Well I thought it was, it seems you forgot to actually read my original review as I have already tried your suggestions! Also, you did not comment on the ongoing problem with the Serena voice which is still mispronouncing street names and places. Please don’t tell me to use another voice as you’ve already done that. Also the Serena voice is now rubbish at pronunciation which was funny at first but now is just annoying. Restart phone (iphone 11 pro, iOS 15.0.2) and then it usually works but that is not always convenient. Tried removing the app and reloading, no better. I now regularly get the “app loading screen” and that’s it. I’ve been really happy with this app until recently.
